Survey regarding Haiti Crisis
It is anticipated that there will be evacuation of people with maxillofacial injuries as a result of the earthquakes in Haiti, probably to destinations in Florida. It is likely that the FSOMS will be contacted by outside sources to see if their membership would make themselves available to assist with this humanitarian effort. If this occurs, would you be willing to volunteer to treat patients, either in your office, hospital or some other designated area?
Do you feel that as an organization, the FSOMS should proactively involve itself and its members in this humanitarian effort, or should we let the systems that are already in place take care of this problem.
Please email your thoughts to FSOMS Executive Director Hank Holderfield at hholderfield@pami.org.
Thank you.
